Akaesha Revnik
Akaesha Revnik has been in SecondLife since January 2007, and she just oozes, style, class and sophistication. Along with her husband Cytherion she is the owner and creator of Akaesha Designs and together they appear to be pushing the level of design, animation and branding of products within SL to new heights.
Akaesha Designs is the latest brand to be making waves in SecondLife. They are the up and coming, and are extremely serious about what they do, and about their commitment to developing a more realistic and intimate experience to SL play.
They are the developers of the "Moment's" animation series, which is SL's first multi lovescene engine that blends together several long, realistic and fluid animations seamlessly to simulate a real life moment.
Akaesha wants to bring intimacy into SecondLife rather than just casual sex, which appears to be the prevalent pastime, and this is especially evident in her new Kama Sutra range. Tha Kama Sutra is an anicient set of texts considered to be the art of love. It was reported to have been wriiten around the 2nd century AD and contains ancient Indian philosphies on pleasure and spirituality.
The Kama Sutra - The Art of Love
The Kama Sutra HUD is the latest dvelopment of Akaesha Designs and is currently a best seller in SecondLife. It is a unique development and is designed to provide a more intimate sexual exploration. Its a HUD (heads up display) which means it can be used anywhere, and contains a blanket that can be rezzed on the ground, where the user can then be the star of their very own Kama Sutra. It includes all the authentic sexual positions including descriptions, and promises to be an intimate and romantic experience.
BDSM and The Master's Choice
Akaesha Designs seem intent on pushing technology to the limit, and this is also evident in their Master's Choice range. The Master's Choice is a range of high quality BDSM equipment that uses design and technology to enhance the experience of BDSM play in SecondLife.
The series comprises of a Master's and Mistresses throne, a St Andrews Cross, a bondage bench, a bondage wallrack, a bed, a slave post and a dungeon mat.
All these items include hundreds of the latest animations and would grace the dungeon of any serious BDSM player in SecondLife. Like everything Akeasha does the Master's Choice range has an element of class about it, and maybe its this that sets Akaesha Designs apart.
Well.... we caught up with Akaesha and asked her about her plans for the future, and her thoughts on BDSM in SecondLife.
webMaster: Hello Akaesha, what would you say is your role in the BDSM community in SecondLife?
Akaesha Revnik : We build products for roleplay, our biggest addition to the BDSM community is Master's Choice.
webMaster: Ah yes.. What is Master's Choice?
Akaesha Revnik : Master's choice is a technology introduced by us, which allows a Master or Mistress to choose who they wish to interact with, its available in our Thrones
webMaster: Nice yes, how long have you been making products in SL?
Akaesha Revnik : We have been evaluating the prospects to enter SL as a business for over a year, but we introduced our first product in late Nov 2007, and we havent looked back since :)
webMaster: Cool... and what made you decide to move into BDSM?
Akaesha Revnik : BDSM is a primary part of lifestyle in SL, and we decided to expand into the community to enhance the experience for our customers.
webMaster: Nice ... BDSM does seem very popular on here.. have you any ideas why that is?
Akaesha Revnik : Mainly because you can explore, and above all its safe.
webMaster: Yes very true...Have you ever practised BDSM yourself within SL?
Akaesha Revnik : Yes, and it was great. I met some great personalities, and above all thats how Master's Choice was invented:)
webMaster: I see ... BDSM means different things to different people .. What does it mean to you?
Akaesha Revnik : To me it means more about trust. A more intimate relationship that involves discipline and respect. Discipline and respect is what I admire the most from the BDSM lifestyle.
webMaster: Very true... Do you have any advice you can offer people new to BDSM?
Akaesha Revnik : Yes, I would just recommend understanding the concept. A lot of people do not know what its about, and its important to understand what it means.
webMaster: Great... Ok What goals do you have for your products in SecondLife?
Akaesha Revnik : To provide the best user interaction, we strive to improve on what we have. Our goal is to move in the direction of better and more realistic animations as part of our Moments project. We want to raise the bar on the quality and service. :)
webMaster: Well you're certainly doing that. Akeasha Designs is known as the up and coming name in SL. Do you plan to keep growing?
Akaesha Revnik : Yes definitely there is no stopping :) This is just the begining ....
webMaster: Nice .. and what do you think the future will be for SL?
Akaesha Revnik : Bright, very bright the Metaverse revolution is just starting... and its going to be bigger than the dot com.
webMaster: Wow now thats a statement! Thanks for speaking to us .. Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Akaesha Revnik : I would like to add that our primary focus is customer service and quality and we plan to keep it that way :) I would also like to wish you best of luck for your efforts I think you are doing great work.
